About The Magical Meter

Each meter is hand made, one at a time in Santa's workshop. No two are exactly alike.  The 2.25"  x 2.25" x  1 " tall wooden box is crafted from high quality figured Black Walnut.  The inset dial face is laser engraved holly wood in a decorative design. Numbered from 0-7 (Naughty side) and 8-15 (Nice side) The contrasting wood colors compliment each other in form and design.  The dial and needle are covered in a glass and brass bezel.  The hinged lid work effortlessly, and the lid is laser engraved and filled with gold inlay to complete the old world elegant look.  Each meter is aged to perfection featuring worm holes, dents and gouges to make the meter appear as old as Santa himself. 2 coats of Tung oil finish creates a soft luster and appearance of a well used instrument.

 The nervous anticipation often manifests itself on their faces, one can only imagine their feelings as they ponder about all the things they have done that could cause the  confusion of the meter. Finally, after flipping and flopping from Naughty to Nice the meter stops on a number on the dial. 9 times out of 10 that number falls on the nice side. Of course, you are the one manipulating the meter by hiding a small, but very powerful rare earth magnet (2 included) in a finger of your gloved hand. You control every move the meter makes, you build the excitement and anticipation.  Some say this is THE perfect prop ever created for Santa.
